The Office of Legal Services provides the following services as the legal office of the Department of General Services:
- Exercises the contract review and approval function of the Director of General Services
- Serves as house counsel for the Offices of the Department of General Services
- Serves as counsel to the Director of General Services
- Provides preventive legal advice for State agencies regarding contracting issues
- Provides training on State contracting.
- Provides leadership for constructive change in state contracting processes
OLS mission: To render quality legal advice and services on a timely basis at reasonable cost.
